Family violence workers, I need you!

You may be eligible for my research study on supports for non-binary people experiencing family violence
In 2025, I interviewed 20 non-binary people from around Australia about their experiences of intimate partner and family violence, and of seeking help from services in relation to abuse. I then brough together 8 of those 20 people in a co-creation workshop, to review themes from the interviews related to services and to create an interview guide and a list of organisations to approach for interview.

I am now recruiting people who work or volunteer in the family violence sector in Australia to take part in an online interview of up to 1 hour, based around the co-created interview guide and accompanying vignettes and quotes drawn from interviews.

If you take part, I will offer your organisation a free learning session after the end of the interviews, to share findings and reflect together on opportunities for service improvement. You will also be invited to participate in a final co-creation workshop which brings together participants from both research phases to make sense of the findings and develop priorities for action to improve the service system.
